UMS have welcomed Jordi Du as General Manager, New Zealand tasked with growing the company’s business in the land of the long white cloud.
Jordi will be permanently based in UMS’ Auckland office and will be responsible for growing the New Zealand team and expanding its business through new existing client services.
He joins from Vodafone New Zealand where he worked in the Marketing team for nine years managing product development and end-to-end product lifecycle.
Announcing his appointment, UMS founder and Group General Manager Jessica Miao said: “Over the last seven years UMS, has grown its business by helping New Zealand brands to connect with Chinese consumers. We have done this with senior management moving between our offices in Ningbo, Shanghai, and Auckland.
“However, with relations between China and New Zealand stronger than ever, we feel the time is right to establish a full-time senior manager in Auckland to ensure we can work closely with our clients both in New Zealand and China. We are very excited to welcome Jordi to our team. He brings a wealth of experience in marketing and a strong understanding of New Zealand brands.”
Jordi Du, General Manager, UMS New Zealand said of his appointment: “I am really excited to join UMS at such a significant time for the business. After years of working for a large corporate in New Zealand, I have seen many cultural gaps between western brands and their target Chinese audiences, and I believe there is a huge opportunity for UMS to help NZ brands to close the gap with their Chinese customers. I am looking forward to working closely with Jessica, Richard, Sean and the UMS team.”
